McDonald's Canada Interactive Ice Sculpture Promotes Dollar Drink Days

August 7, 2011

McDonald's Canada recently launched an interactive ice sculpture in Vancouver as a stunt to promote Dollar Drink Days. The ice sculpture contained 4,000 loonies in the shape of the McDonald's arches; visitors could chip away at the sculpture to take the loonies and presumably use them to buy a drink.

The 8,000-pound interactive ice sculpture was placed near the Sylvan Lake Pier, a family friendly location. The Cossette ad agency orchestrated the stunt for McDonald's Canada.
