Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School examined data from the study that follwed over 72,000 people between 1984 and 2008; and a follow up study that followed almost 40,000 poeple between 1986 and 2008. They found over 25,000 skin cancers.

The study found that women who drank more than 3 cups of coffee had a 20 percent reduction in risk for basal-cell carcinoma. People who drank the most coffee had the lowest risk of basal-cell.
