McDonald's UK Olympic Uniforms Are Eco-Chic and Inspired by 'Mad Men'

July 1, 2012

The newest McDonald's UK Olympic uniforms are retro and environmentally conscious. The mega fast-food chain enlisted Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway to design new uniforms that will be revealed at the start of the Olympics. The uniforms now include polo shirts, plaid shirts and high-waisted skirts; accessories include neck scarves for women and skinny ties for the men. Not only are the uniforms a throwback to the "Mad Men" era, but they are also made of recycled plastics and textiles.

The fast-food chain has been prepping for the Olympics in earnest; just last year, McDonald's built a 1,500-seat restaurant especially for the Games.
