Bourbon-Soaked Cherries are a Festive Topping

December 13, 2013

If you like to top rich ice cream with fruit, stuff fruit between layers of moist and fluffy cake or toss it into a night-cap cocktail, you’re going to love this bourbon cherry recipe. Gastronomical Sovereignty created this recipe for soaking fresh cherries in sugary, lemony, vanilla-tinged bourbon. The resulting jewels are pops of intriguing flavor best dropped into Old Fashioneds or sundaes.

Pair with rosemary for a festive look that brings holly and mistletoe to mind.
