Free Chrome Extensions For Foodies

May 18, 2011

While waiting for my blog to load, I was wasting time looking at the apps Google has for my Chrome browser. I found 5 free foodie apps that were interesting. Check them out!

One Tsp

This app is a place to organize  and manage all your recipes online. What makes this one a keeper, is that you can work within the app from anywhere. I like that idea for farmers market trips. When I see something for sale at the market, I can quickly find out how much I need to work in a recipe I already have. Nice.

MyEatBox

Take a pic of what you are eating, and store all your food photos using this really cool app. I love to just hit the random button, and find out about new foods to try and recreate. Yum!

Chow Videos

If you love to do the food thing via video, check out this app by Chow! It has a huge number of videos, with directions on how to make all sorts of tasty treats.

Papa's Burgeria

Now, I am not a gamer (as my teenage children can attest), but I do like me some cooking fun. This is a cute little game for all your burger flippers out there. The only drawback, is that it has to load *each* time that you go to the website. I don't always have time to wait for that. Check it out though. Cute!

Countdown

I know what you are thinking: Why do I need a countdown app? THIS one is fantastic for all you multi tasking cooks out there! Do you have multiple burners (plus the oven) going at the same time? Set a timer for each one. Keep track of each dish as it bubbles away. I love it! Remember - Getting all the dishes to the table at the right temperature, at the same time, is a skill. Don't tell them how you have a little app that helps you do just that.
