Shannon Davidson

“I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.” This quote from Albert Einstein probably sums it up best. Having never attended a formal culinary school, my ‘school’ over the years has been found in the works Julia Child, Alice Waters, James Beard, Nancy Silverton along with several others. I would rather sit down and read a cookbook than a novel and would much prefer hanging out at farmers’ markets than the mall. My passion for cooking is fueled by a great love of good quality, honest, food. Seasonal, organic, sustainable ingredients are what thrill and inspire my cooking.
As a work in progress, I write, photograph, design and teach, but in my heart I think of myself as a cook first. Being devoted to the idea of home and sitting around the table breaking bread with those closest to me is foundational in my life.
