Congress has adopted House FY 2012 Appropriations Bill which will cut conservation funding by $1 billion. This bill also will slash funding for sustainable agriculture, rural micro lending, renewable energy, and grants. None of the cuts address the issue of crop subsidies which is where the most money is spent.
If you oppose these budget cuts, then you can contact your senator, and ask them not to support the bill.
