Certain foods are attributed to help lowering your cholesterol.
Oatmeal, bran and other high fiber foods.
Fish and foods that are high in Omega 3 fatty acids.
Certain nuts like walnuts & almonds.
Olive oil
and foods with added plant sterols.
You're best to inquire with your doctor.

All of the above are great - my husband found his numbers were out of line a couple of years ago. His dr. told him to also cut his sugar/carbs way back. By the next year's test his numbers were great.

Red Yeast Rice can help lower cholesterol.

Thank you Eden. (wonderful name) A friend of mine who is a pharmacist told me the same thing. Snowed in here in Georgia. Ill pick up some when I can get to the store.
