Question: Flavorless Squash

You know how sometimes a winter squash with taste like SQUASH and sometimes tastes like something that is orange? What do people do to put some good flavor in the left over flavorless squash?

Most squash varieties go well with some seasoning when cooked, such as cheese, salt and pepper and many different herbs or sauces

Garlic, oregano, thyme and sage are my personal favourites, as is pairing it with roasted veggies like Brussels sprouts and onion.

Like the people above I add spices and herbs also but when push comes to shove I feed it to the chooks and turn it into nice home laid eggs

My two pennies' worth: Baking it with a little brown sugar and cinnamon have given it a sweetness that made a nice counterpoint to whatever savory dishes I've served it with.

Slice it. Toss it in a bit of olive oil, add a little salt, pepper, a pinch of sugar and a pinch of smoked paprika. Then roast it until it it is golden and a little caramelized.
