Not much of a health benefit, I'm afraid, but there is indeed a benefit to the joy and satisfaction of indulging every now and then so long as it is in moderation. You can be cautious to use better oils with Omega 3 as opposed to other vegetable or hydrogenated oils. You can also use light salt or sea salt so that it's less unhealthy, but the french fried potato is generally not going to be a healthy choice if that's what you're looking for.
