They were bananas after all. No? The only difference being that you cook them rather than eat them raw. But they are bananas just as cooking apples are apples....yes? I rest my case.

You just have to trust me on this one. It's a cookie inside of a cookie. How can it not be amazing?

Irish Potatoes, a creamy coconut candy coated in cinnamon to make them resemble potatoes. I had never heard of them before, but I fell in love with them immediately.

Butternut squash pureed into macaroni and cheese just sounds like a match made in heaven, doesn’t it? It is also a fun way to sneak in another veggie.

I had never heard of them before and for some reason the thought of deep-frying avocados had never crossed my mind. Nevertheless, I was determined to recreate them...

When it comes to unusual food names the British definitely take the top prize. Care for some bubble and squeak or spotted dick? How about toad-in-the hole?

Looking back on my recipes of late, one would never know I am supposed to be a healthy food blogger. I’m chalking my recent spate of less than slim recipes to the ultimate depths of winter burn out; and stating here and now that I promise I’ll get back on the good-food track.

PB Blossoms are little sugar-dipped peanut butter cookies with a Hershey's Kiss perched perfectly on top. You've probably eaten them...and you might just have the recipe in your arsenal.

These little babies are both fun and easy to make. Oh hell, all babies are both fun and easy to make, for the men at least.

So lets talk Pancakes. Yesterday was National Pancake Day and I’m not sure who or what organization deemed March 1st as a day to eat pancakes, but I’m not going to complain as I love homemade pancakes. So, when Shauna over at Gluten Free Girl pinged me, along with a number of gluten free bloggers

The mother of the pineapples is actually Brazil. One of the desserts I made up was this delicious raw pineapple dessert. It’s pretty easy to make, tastes like a warm day on the beach and is the perfect ending for any exotic dinner party. Yum!

One of my favorite things about spring rolls is that you can mix and match them any way you like. There are so many ways to make them! Below I added the spring rolls we made and a few suggestions for other variations. So, experiment away…and let me know your favorite combination!

I am a huge fan of popcorn have come to believe that are at least a gazillion ways to flavor it. We have an air popper so that is how I always make ours, though you could easily pop it on the stovetop as well. In this case I popped the popcorn into a large bowl, then added a mixture of butter, Parmesan, paprika and freshly cracked black pepper.
