Question: Is baking with sure gel instead of Knox gelatins of equal measurements .?

My daughters not eating pork and Knox gelatin is a pork product. Question for using sure gel instead of Knox gelatin.

Sure Jell is a pectin for making fruit preserves and as far as I know it is not used in baking. There is also a product called Clear Jel, but that has no application in baking that I know of. Try getting some info on agar, which is a seaweed product and contains no animal products. You can get it in natural food stores.
