Is it better to use butter or oil in banana bread, in place of shortening?

Leaf Lard is used by bakers to make excellent pie crust.

I actually use canola oil, the bread seems to yield a more dense, moist result.

The answer is actually all of the above. Butter burns, so be careful to bake it for less time, but oh it's so good!
