Ingredients

1 cup Coarsely chopped onion
2 Cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine, melted
5 smalls Tomatoes, peeled and chopped
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons Red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Chili powder
1 teaspoon Dry mustard

Preparation

Saute' onion and garlic in butter in a medium saucepan until tender. Stir in tomatoes and next 5 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer sauce, uncovered, 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in corn syrup, and simmer, uncovered, an additional 10 minutes. Use sauce for basting, or serve with beef or ribs.
