Oven-Baked French Toast

Ingredients

4 slices thick white bread, cut into fingers
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon mace
1/2 cup evaporated skimmed milk

Preparation

Whisk all the ingredients except the bread. Place the bread fingers in a shallow, pre-greased baking dish and allow the bread to soak up the milk mixture overnight in the fridge.

The following morning, bake in that pre-heated 350 degree oven for around thirty minutes or until puffed and browned.

You can use an egg substitute instead of the eggs; you can also use raisin bread. Serve with butter, powdered sugar, or syrup.
