Hot White Chili Dip

Ingredients

8 ounces cream cheese (jalapeno-flavored or plain)
3 ounces white american cheese cut in ½-inch cubes
1/2 cup beer
2 cans (4-oz each) green chiles, chopped and drained
1 teaspoon cumin or more to taste
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped stuffed green olives

Preparation

Heat cream cheese, American cheese and beer in the microwave on medium heat for 1 minute, then for another minute or until cheese is melted. (Or heat in a conventional oven to melt, about 8 minutes at 325 degrees.)

Stir in chiles, cumin, garlic powder, black pepper and half the olives. Transfer to serving dish. Garnish with remaining olives.

About

Can substitute Anaheim chilies (seeded, de-veined, and minced) for the jalapenos. Keep warm in a small fondue pot or mini-crockpot, or serve at room temperature with crisp bagel chips.
