[edit] Ingredients

3

tablespoons Vegetable Oil

1

Onion, thinly sliced

1

clove Garlic, minced

1

medium head Red Cabbage, shredded

2

medium Granny Smith Apples, quartered, cored, and thinly sliced

2

tablespoons White Wine Vinegar

3

tablespoons Honey

2

tablespoons fresh Dill weed, chopped

Salt and Black Pepper to taste

[edit] Preparation

Step 1

Warm the vegetable oil in a large skillet over moderate heat. Add the onion slices and saute until soft, about 4 minutes. Add the minced garlic, then saute the mixture for about another minute more.

Step 2

Stir in the shredded red cabbage; cover and saute about 5 minutes, or until cabbage is wilted. Add the apples, vinegar, honey, and dill weed. Stir well and continue to cook until apples are tender, about 8 to 12 minutes. Season with a bit of salt and pepper to taste, before serving warm.
