Nancy’s Famous Cranberry Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/4 cups white chocolate chips
1 cup oatmeal

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Whisk flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon in a medium bowl.

Using a mixer beat butter and both sugars until creamy. Add eggs and both extracts. Add flour mixture and beat on low just to blend.

Stir in chocolate chips, cranberries and oatmeal. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets.

Bake cookies about 11 minutes. Transfer to racks and cool.

WHY?!?! Because it is holiday-looking with the dried cranberries and it is the BEST EVER – super simple and very delicious.
