ounces can diced tomatoes - (28 ea) undrained |

ounces can tomato paste - (12 ea) |

tablespoons dried Italian seasoning |

tablespoon salt |

tablespoon dried basil |

teaspoons freshly-ground black pepper |

teaspoon dried crushed red pepper |

Step 1 |
Saute onion and garlic in hot oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat 10 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in diced tomatoes and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer, stirring often, 2 hours. |
Step 2 |
Divide into recipe portions and freeze. |
Step 3 |
This recipe yields 12 cups. |
Step 4 |
Yield: 12 cups |
