The newlywed royals, Prince William and Kate Middleton, will stop by in Montreal, Canada on July 2nd as part of their 2011 Royal Tour. The couple will stop over in the city for six full hours. There will be no public events, nor concerts, but their royal itinerary for the day will include a closed-door meeting with a hospital and cooking with the students of Institute de Tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec. They are scheduled to arrive at Ste. Justine Hospital at 4:15 p.m., then go to the hotel school at 5:30 p.m. for a tour, cooking workshop and reception.
The royal couple will be cooking local specialties and learn more about Quebec foods. The evening’s menu items will be salmon tartare, sautéed rabbit giblets with blueberry vinegar, or tajine of pheasant with bulgur wheat and dried fruits. It’s not confirmed if the two will participate in cooking their food but they will see all the steps that go into meal preparation, from the appetizer, to the first and second courses, and finally to the dessert.
