Twitter is such a useful tool. It is like reading that scrolling thing at the bottom of the screen while the news is on. I pay attention to the scrolling (my Twitter feed) while I am waiting for pages to load, searches to search, and phone calls to be returned.
Luckily, this afternoon, I was waiting for my yeast to proof, and a tweet with one my favorite words in it, caught my eye, Free. Combined with words tied for second: iPad and app, who can resist that?
Now I have a shiny, new app called Crops, that has a seasonal calendar to find local foods. It is useful and allows me to keep up with what is going on in my gardening zone. I often buy other farmer's veggies, and just because I have my own garden doesn't mean I know when all things are ready. See what is in season and plan your trips to the farmer's market more efficiently. If you are a canner, be ready with your jars and lids before you find the best deal at the market. Check it out!
This weekend, Crops is free! It's worth the $1.99 pricetag, but who can resist FREE?
