Re-worked Furniture is Made of Coffee Grounds

August 2, 2011

Talk about sustainability: this Re-worked furniture is made of polysterene and used coffee grounds. The smooth waterproof surface produced is easy to take care of: when it gets scratched, just sand it away with sandpaper.

Re-worked welds the coffee ground surfaces together to make its countertops, stools, chairs and tables. The company even says that Re-worked furniture smells like coffee grounds for the first few weeks. Would you invest in this caffeinated eco furniture?

Yes I suppose this one gets 5 stars in the sustainability department. I wonder though, how the "sanding" works? Does the coffee get everywhere? Interesting concept.

Collection is amazing and I am so inspired to get some one very soon. After all I can say that it would come to help us more in the future. Thanks...
