Donald Trump Apparently Serious About Wine

December 16, 2011

Who knew, but the Trump family is apparently serious about building a wine business on the site of the former Kluge estate in Virginia. Renamed and relaunched as the Trump Winery in October (after he bought it earlier this year), Donald Trump has installed his son, Eric, as the head of vineyard operations.

Though skeptics initially though the business mogul would rip out the winery in favor of a golf course or real estate project, Eric Trump said he plans to transform the winery into a national power. "We want to win the ‘best of’ awards,” he told the Washington Post. “We like having the highest-quality products.”

Trump wines are already available in 17 states. Seems less controversial than his father's dinner companions
