Low-Fat Beef Chili

Enjoying your favorite comfort foods doesn't have to mean breaking your New Years resolution to get fit.  This low fat beef chili is a hearty meal that will satisfy the most persistent cravings.  You won't even have to give up your favorite toppings.  Opt for low-fat cheddar cheese and low-fat sour cream instead of full-fat and stick to the serving size.  Low-fat beef chili will help you stick to your weight loss goals.

Beef Chili

Ingredients

2 lbs. Ground Beef, Lean
1 Med. Onion diced
2 Cans of Diced Tomatoes (15 oz each)
1 Can of Fired Roasted Diced Green Chili’s (4oz)
1 Can of Kidney beans
2 Tbsp. of Chili Powder or more to taste
Dash of Salt
 
Directions:
 
In a large Pot, cook the Beef with the onions, once beef is cooked through, drain any fat you may have or cook until it evaporates. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Cook for about another 30 minutes or like me on low heat for 1 1/2 hours.
 
That’s it, top with some cheese.
