The Interior of Chillout

Building a restaurant where everything from the walls to the dinner plates is made entirely of ice is not an easy task. To successfully achieve it, the restaurant's proprietors looked to Iceculture Inc. in Canada to construct the studio freezer. The 40,000 tons of ice it took to create it was then shipped over to Dubai.

Food and Drinks Presented in Ice Dishes

Don't worry about having to bring winter gear with you to Chillout: Guests are provided with a parka, shoes and disposable gloves. Once you're geared up, it's still not time to enjoy the food and drinks just yet. Guests are advised to give their body time to adapt to the cold temperature by spending a few minutes in the 5°C "Buffer Zone."

The Ice Bar in Chillout

Chillout can accommodate up to 50 guests at a time. You'll need as much body heat as possible since it's only -6°C inside of the restaurant's icy walls.
