Bonkers for Banana Peanut Butter French Toast

This Sunday, treat yourself to a special breakfast of banana and peanut butter French toast.  The slices of bread are soaked in custard mixture that is flavored with orange juice, spices, and even a dash of cayenne pepper.  This recipe is written for one serving but can easily be double, tripled, or even quadrupled.  Serve your peanut butter banana French toast with a drizzle of pure maple syrup.

Peanut Butter Banana French Toast

Two slices bread of choice
2 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
Half of Banana, sliced in rounds or length wise
One whole egg, whisked
1/8 cup orange juice
pinch of ground nutmeg
pinch of ground cinnamon
pinch of cayenne


Prepare a Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich

Mix whisked egg, orange juice, nutmeg and cinnamon and cayenne in a bowl

Heat a skillet and place One (1) Tablespoon in same 

Dip Sandwich in egg mixture coating both sides

Cook in skillet for one minute on each side

Ladle with syrup, sprinkle with confectioners sugar and garnish with more bananas
