Jillian Michaels Talks Healthy Eating Habits

Celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels recently talked to Shape magazine about her healthy eating habits. Michaels says she almost never eats fast food and only eats one snack a day. 

"I occasionally have a veggie sandwich from Subway when in a food dessert area for work," she said. "I have had veggie burritos as well from places like Chipotle, but never a McDonalds or Taco Bell kind of place." 

Michaels allows herself one snack a day between lunch and dinner, usually sticking to Popchips or a whey shake. 

"I don't believe in eating throughout the day," she explained. "I eat every four hours. Breakfast at 8 AM, lunch at 12 PM, a snack around 4 PM, and dinner around 8 PM."

Michaels does allow herself to splurge on her favorite treat, but her choice of indulgence has a healthy twist to it.

"I'm a huge fan of Unreal Chocolate Bars. I can't go a day without having one," she said. "They make classic candy bars like Snickers, M&M's, and peanut butter cups, but without any chemicals or crap in them."
