October 22, 2012

The energy drink Monster has been named in a wrongful death suit of a 14-year old girl who drank 2 in 24 hours. The popular energy drink was cited in 5 deaths and a non-fatal heart attack, according to this report by NBC in Connecticut.

A single 24-ounce can contains the equivalent of 7 cups of coffee, a shocking amount for even the most committed coffee drinker.

What do you think? Should Monster and other energy drinks be available to children? Should the company be held accountable for the deaths of its consumers? Let us know in the comments below!
