Last year, I went to the fair and tasted something that had no business being fair food. It was that good. Above the scent of cotton candy and deep fried everything, was the smell of actual food. I followed the scent, to find a young girl selling marinated turkey drumsticks. They were some ridiculously low price and I had a fleeting moment of guilt, as I took the humongous thing, that was wrapped only in a napkin.
It was unbelievably delicious!! No coating, no crunchy fried layer to get through, this was a simply marinated and masterfully smoked piece of turkey. Now, I am waiting for the fair to come around again, so I can eat one of two of these babies. This recipe for Marinated Turkey Breast comes close.
