Salmon with Apples is a delicate and surprising pairing. This salmon recipe has a flavor all it's own and it is a must for any seafood love.

Things You'll Need:
1 Piece of Smoked Bacon
1/2 Red Apple
1/2 Small Onion
1 3oz. Salmon Fillet
1 T. Butter
Salt
Pepper

Step 1
Cut the bacon in half and stack the pieces on top of each other. Cut into long ribbons and chop into small squares.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion. Use equal amounts of onion and bacon.
step 3
Thinly slice the red apple, leaving the peel on for added nutrition and color.
step 4
Put 1 T. butter into a frying pan and add the bacon. Heat over medium heat. The bacon will have enough fat but the butter adds needed flavor.
step 5
After a few minutes, the butter should be browning and there should be some bubbly foam on top.
step 6
Add the onions and the apples. Toss thoroughly and let cook for 2-3 minutes.
step 7
Add a dash of salt and pepper.
step 8
De-glaze the pan by adding a dash of white wine. That will bring the brownings from the pan into the food to flavor it.
step 9
The apples should still be crisp.
step 10
Place the salmon onto a baking sheet with sides and broil it for 6-7 minutes.
step 11
When it has finished it will have a lightly browned coating.
step 12
Place the salmon on a plate and serve with the apple mixture.
