Place pizza carefully on the preheated stone with your pizza peel (sprinkle coarsley ground yellow cornmeal on your peel first) raw pizza should slide back and forth with the cornmeal. With one quick jerk, slide the pizza on the stone and close the oven. Turn the pizza around as it cooks to bake it evenly and check for hot spots in the oven. As pizza bakes on the hot stone it will naturally cook away from the stone and not stick.

To keep pizza from sticking to a pizza stone, cover it with a light layer of corn meal before placing the pizza on top.
