I'm Stacia and I am a culinary college grad. This is what makes me think I can sit down and write about all this wonderful and delicious stuff for you to read... well that and the fact that I can actually cook.

Did I mention that I'm a huge yoga fan and an avid gardener? It was only fairly recently that I realized how they are truly interconnected on so many levels. It was the very day that the idea for be still & eat was born!

I should have you note right off the bat that I'm not here to teach you how to cook. I'll go ahead and assume that you already have that skill but that you're here instead for inspiration.

I don't know everything about cooking and won't pretend I do... I know a lot, and am pretty game to try almost anything, but I'm willing to bet that you're a lot like me... you love to cook and look through all your cookbooks and online for ideas to shake it all up a little.

I hope that you will visit Be Still & Eat often to help with that creativity.

I grew up in a large and closely knit family, half of which( the large half) is Lebanese. Do I need to bother saying the food around the family table was ALWAYS amazing? This has been the primary influence on my cooking style.

I hope you will enjoy my recipes, my musings and my photography.
