Jessica Chiasson-Wood

I am a Louisiana Native, born and raised 25 minutes from downtown New Orleans and in this part of the country, food is more than simple sustenance. Food has always been a part of my life starting with Sunday afternoons. After Sunday mass, relatives of all ages gathered at grandma’s house to get together around the stove and fill plates and bowls with gumbo, potato salad, etouffee and jambalaya.

I have been very lucky to travel and introduce my palette to many wonderful and exotic flavors, but nothing excites my taste buds quite like Cajun food. Not only is Cajun food a comfort for me, but also it is fun to cook.

Laissez les bons temps rouler!
