About the Blog:
Experimental Culinary Pursuits is all about discoveries in culinary therapy and everyday delights. I believe that the creation of food should be an inventive art, leaving the chef free to dream up possibilities to fulfill his/her tastebuds’ desires. So I devote time in the kitchen to experimentation, conjuring up new marriages of ingredients and flavors. Food is the essence of life and forever connected to our stories and experiences, so here is also where I write about my stories and how they connect to these food creations. The recipes you'll find here are almost always vegetarian, but I think of this blog as much more flexible, and I hope the stories inspire you to try your own twists to make these dishes your own.

Thanks for joining me on my adventures!

About Shelly:
Shelly loves to conduct fun experiments in the kitchen and discover new tastes and flavors. She has a strong olfactory sense and prides herself on being able to distinguish perfume notes in blind tests, which she believes allows her to “imagine” how a dish would turn out by “smelling” the raw ingredients. Outside of The Kitchen, she works as a brand marketer in the business of “making women pretty”, and loves to spend weekends exploring NYC and contemplating life in Central Park (or Sephora).
