About Shelly Huang

~Adventures of a Vegetarian Food-Lover surviving the weekday grind with weekend culinary exploits~

Philosophy: The creation of food should be an inventive art, leaving the chef free to dream up possibilities to fulfill his/her tastebuds’ desires. I don’t like step by step recipe instructions, mostly because my brain (outside of my normal day to day job) doesn’t like to function that way. Instead, I reference multiple versions of a dish before I cook, drawing inspiration from ingredients that strike my fancy.

Because each creater of food is different – we have different palates & preferences - each dish should be uniquely your own. Versatility is key. So whenever possible, I will give suggestions on alternative ingredients/spices/flavors that might go well together. I also welcome your suggestions and comments if you decide to create the same dish with your own twist.

Thanks for joining me on my adventures!
