2 pieces large onions, thinly sliced, rings separated
1 cup Milk
1 cup Water
cups Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
1 tablespoon Melted Butter
2 pieces egg yolks, beaten
3/4 cup flat beer

Preparation

Skin onions and cut crosswise into 1/4" slices. Combine milk and water. Soak onions in this for 1/2 hour. Drain them. Spread them on absorbent paper and dredge them with Fritter Batter.

In large bowl mix well the first 5 ingredients. Add flat beer gradually, stirring constantly. Allow batter to rest. Cover and refrigerate 3 to 12 hours. Just before using you may add 2 stiffly beaten egg whites. Coat onion rings and fry until brown at 350 to 400 degrees.
