(1 inch) rib eye steaks |

teaspoon cracked black pepper |

tablespoons brandy |

tablespoon butter |

tablespoon lemon juice |

tablespoon Worcestershire sauce |

Dash hot sauce |

tablespoons olive oil |

chopped green onions |

small clove garlic, minced |

pound sliced mushrooms |

teaspoons lemon juice |

teaspoon salt |

teaspoon pepper |

Step 1 |
20 minutes before serving: (1) prepare sauteed mushrooms (see below). (2) Rub steaks on both sides with cracked black pepper. Heat 12 inch skillet over high heat for 30 seconds. Cook steaks in skillet 8 to 10 minutes for rare, turn once. Remove steaks to warm platter. (3) Into drippings in skillet, stir brandy, butter, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce. Reduce heat to medium; cook brandy sauce until hot, stirring constantly to loosen brown bit's from bottom of skillet. Pour brandy sauce over steaks. Spoon mushrooms on platter with steaks. |

Add onions and garlic to oil. Cook 1 minute. Add other ingredients cook stirring occasionally until mushrooms are tender. |
