Sauteed mushrooms

(1 inch) rib eye steaks

¾

teaspoon cracked black pepper

2

tablespoons brandy

1

tablespoon butter

1

tablespoon lemon juice

1

tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Dash hot sauce

2

tablespoons olive oil

2

chopped green onions

1

small clove garlic, minced

¾

pound sliced mushrooms

2

teaspoons lemon juice

¼

teaspoon salt

teaspoon pepper

Step 1

20 minutes before serving: (1) prepare sauteed mushrooms (see below). (2) Rub steaks on both sides with cracked black pepper. Heat 12 inch skillet over high heat for 30 seconds. Cook steaks in skillet 8 to 10 minutes for rare, turn once. Remove steaks to warm platter. (3) Into drippings in skillet, stir brandy, butter, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce. Reduce heat to medium; cook brandy sauce until hot, stirring constantly to loosen brown bit's from bottom of skillet. Pour brandy sauce over steaks. Spoon mushrooms on platter with steaks.

Step 2

Add onions and garlic to oil. Cook 1 minute. Add other ingredients cook stirring occasionally until mushrooms are tender.
