cup chopped onions |

cup oil |

pounds boned veal steak, cut in serving size pieces |

cup sifted flour |

teaspoon salt |
⅛ |
teaspoon pepper |

(4 oz.) can button mushrooms, drained |
1 |
cup tomato juice |
½ |
teaspoon sugar |
1 |
cup Chablis or other white dinner wine |

Step 1 |
Saute onions in heated oil; remove to casserole. Roll veal in flour seasoned with salt and pepper; brown in oil. Add mushrooms and brown slightly. Arrange veal and mushrooms over onions. |
Step 2 |
Combine other ingredients; pour over meat. Cover; bake in moderate 350 degree oven for 1 1/4 hours or until veal is tender. Remove cover last 1/2 hour. Serve with baked potatoes, green peas, Perfection Salad and spumoni. 6 servings. |
