edit Ingredients

¼

cup chopped onions

¼

cup oil

1 ½

pounds boned veal steak, cut in serving size pieces

¼

cup sifted flour

½

teaspoon salt

teaspoon pepper

1

(4 oz.) can button mushrooms, drained

1

cup tomato juice

½

teaspoon sugar

1

cup Chablis or other white dinner wine

Step 1

Saute onions in heated oil; remove to casserole. Roll veal in flour seasoned with salt and pepper; brown in oil. Add mushrooms and brown slightly. Arrange veal and mushrooms over onions.

Step 2

Combine other ingredients; pour over meat. Cover; bake in moderate 350 degree oven for 1 1/4 hours or until veal is tender. Remove cover last 1/2 hour. Serve with baked potatoes, green peas, Perfection Salad and spumoni. 6 servings.
