Bulgarian Moussaka Recipe
1 egg yolk
tchubritza (summer savory) to taste
1/2 can of diced tomatoes (optional)
Peel the potatoes,rinse and cube them into the baking dish • In medium pot add oil and ground meat • As meat browns mix in onion and garlic • Add salt, black pepper, paprika, tchubritza to taste • Once meat is thoroughly browned add ketchup & tomatoes • Simmer for approx. 3 minutes • Pour meat sauce mixture over potatoes and mix • Place dish in the middle rack of pre-heated oven • Bake for 45 minutes stirring occasionally if top gets to dark
