cups chicken stock, or canned chicken broth |

turnip, peeled, and, diced |

cups tomato, juice |

Step 1 |
In a large stockpot over medium heat, bring stock, garlic and onions slowly to a simmer. Cook for 20 minutes to extract maximum flavour from garlic and onions. Strain the garlic and onions from the soup. |
Step 2 |
Add turnips, carrots and tomato juice to the stock and simmer at medium heat until vegetables are just tender. |
Step 3 |
Meanwhile, cook the alphabet noodles according to package directions, until al dente. Drain. |
Step 4 |
Add noodles to the stock and cook until heated through. Season with salt and pepper. |
Step 5 |
Serve immediately or ladle into individually labelled containers and freeze or refrigerate for lunches down the road. |
