Step 1
Puree the cannellini beans (white kidney beans), olive oil, chopped large garlic clove, fresh lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, and ground cumin in a food processor until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer the mixture to a shallow bowl. (This dip can be made 1 day ahead.)

30 minutes
Cover the bowl and chill the dip. Let it stand for 30 minutes at room temperature before serving.

Just before serving, sprinkle the dip with cayenne pepper and additional dried oregano.
