Polish Meatballs

Ingredients

Celery leaves

Pepper to taste

1 onion, chopped

3 pounds meatball mixture (½ veal

1/2 pork -- available at a Polish meat market already mixed)

Cracker crumbs (about 1 pkg. 2 inch sq. crackers)

1 can cream of chicken soup, diluted

1/8 teaspoon marjoram

2 eggs, whipped

Salt to taste

Preparation

Mix meat, marjoram, salt, pepper, eggs, onion, and cracker crumbs together. Line pan with celery leaves. Roll meat mixture into balls and place in pan touching each other. Cover with soup. Cook at 300 degrees for about 2 1/2 hours turning 2 or 3 times.
