Pea Soup With Smoked Pork Ribs

Ingredients

1 cup washed hulled dried peas
1 Carrot, sliced
1 Onion, sliced
3 Potatoes, peeled and halved
3 Bay leaves
1 teaspoon Black pepercorns
1 teaspoon Caraway seeds

Preparation

Put ribs in cold water and bring to a boil

Add peas, browned onion and carrot and black pepper. Leave for a 1.5 hour on slow heat

Add bay leaves and caraway seeds. Put potato and boil more 15 min

Warming Russian soup. Combination of smoked flavour, tender ribs and pea is perfect! And also it is an excellent hot dish for pure vodka lovers :)

Peas must be boiled in purée. Roasted wheat sippets in plate is also appropriate.You can change a little this traditional recipe on your choice by adding chipotle chili, capers, juniper berries etc.
