In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote The Hangover Part II, former boxing champ Mike Tyson discussed his recent transition to veganism and its effects on his physique and his household.
Kimmel kicked off the interview by asking Tyson how much weight he'd lost; Tyson acknowledged that he'd lost over 130 pounds over the past year. When Kimmel asked Tyson if his weight loss was due to his vegan diet, Tyson deadpanned, "I don't know. I work out too, you know."
Tyson then discussed his newfound relationship with food: "I hate vegan food. But this is what I found out, of course, the food that tastes good is not good for you."
When asked whether he misses meat, Tyson shook his head and responded, "Don't miss anything like that, no. This is my whole life now." Tyson indicated that he wanted to lead by example and break the cycle of obesity in his family with his routine of diet and exercise. "My children were gaining weight and stuff. I can't just say, 'Hey, you're fat, lose weight, do this workout, do this and I'm 400 pounds.'"
