12 Days of Holiday Cookies: Key Lime Macadamia Nut Cookies (Day 4)

December 18, 2011
We are in Day 4 of Foodista's 12 days of holiday cookies.  If you cannot find key limes, you can use generic limes or substitute with lemons.  Don't forget to add you favorite holiday cookie recipe to Foodista!
1 3/4 cups flour
1 cup butter, softened
1 tablespoon key lime juice
2 teaspoons lime zest
1 teaspoon lime zest
2 tablespoons key lime juice
1 ounce white chocolate, melted
Sift together flour and powdered sugar. Set aside.
Beat butter until creamy.
Add flour, key lime juice, zest, and macadamia nuts. Mix until dough forms.
On a lightly floured sheet of wax paper, form the dough into a 10 inch log.
Roll the log in the wax paper and refrigerate until firm, 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350º.
Cut dough log into 1/4-inch slices. Place on a baking sheet.
Bake 9-11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
Cool completely and then glaze.
For the glaze, whisk all ingredients together.
Add more powdered sugar if it's too runny.
