Try this seasonal dish and satisfy your taste buds while keeping it seasonal. Chard is available at most winter farmer's markets and many growers just use a cold frame in their home gardens to keep the chard coming all year. It's a tasty green with a mild flavor.

Whole Wheat Pasta With Shrimp and Chard

 

4 ounces whole wheat pasta, cooked and drained
12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
6 cups chard, rough chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup basil, rough chopped
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, shredded
