In the past, IFBC has provided a forum so that bloggers and businesses can connect (without our endorsement or involvement in the match-making). We've found that bloggers have better luck when they reach out directly to businesses, so we've ended the forum and are offering our advice on how to best connect and get sponsored!
- *Start by contacting local food companies that you use and respect.
- *Offer to provide something of value to them: guest blog posts, promotion at the conference (you can place their literature in the Gift Suite - a benefit that normally comes with a $500 sponsorship cost!), Tweets on their behalf while attending the conference...be creative, you're pitching to be their representative!
- *In return, ask for help covering travel costs, hotel, and/or registration fee. Be specific about what you are asking for: $500 or $1000 and detail how it will be used
- *Share your request on the IFBC Twitter to help get your request out and use the hashtag #sponsorpartner
- *If you do find a sponsor partner and want to place materials in the Gift Suite, please email the details to IFBC@foodista.com so that we can coordinate with you.
Good Luck!

Hello from Washington, DC! I am a food blogger who specializes in restaurant reviews of the DC area and beyond. I have never been to an IFBC event before and would love to be sponsored to attend the Portland event. If you are a restaurant or food group and need someone to attend on your behalf, I'm your gal! Dear Fellow Food Enthusiasts,
Hi! My name is Justine Ma (also known as Little Miss Local)! Just your fellow foodie, personal guinea pig, and local food agent.
I just discovered IFBC and would love the opportunity to attend this conference to gain the latest knowledge in food and technology. If you're looking for a serious food/travel blooger to represent your company I AM YOUR GIRL!
WHY? My passion in life is food. I love everything about it- the process, the textures, the colors, the flavors... and above all, I love sharing these experiences by writing about it for others.
Don't believe me? Well, I'm currently traveling the globe (as we speak) in order to understand and to learn more about culture through cuisine. I am driven, motivation and dedicated to furthering my career in food media. For further information, please visit my website, www.LITTLEMISSLOCAL.com as I meet, greet and eat local food in order to satisfy my consistent Food Curiosity.
Please feel free to contact me; I am available via LITTLEMISSLOCAL.com, facebook, twitter @littlemisslocal, skype, linked-in... you name it! Thank you for your time and consideration, I truly look forward to speaking with you.
Sincerely,
Justine Ma

Hello! My name is Amanda and I blog at MarocMama - a blog that focus on traditional and fusion Moroccan/Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine. My style is to create food that can be easily replicated at home but has an exotic flavor. Every now and then I pop in few recipes from my American heritage. The overarching idea is sharing a multicultural lifestyle and reaching out to families who have mixed cultural relationships.
I've not attended IFBC yet as frankly I've been intimidated! I've now got a few conferences under my belt and am ready to dive in! My professional background includes an MBA in Project Management and a lot of PR and marketing experience.
Representing a brand is more than just a "free ticket" for me - I want to work with you and meet the business needs of your brand! I hope that you'll connect with me on Twitter (@marocmama) or drop me an email (amanda at marocmama dot com) to talk more!

I'm looking for someone to sponsor my airfare from EWR to PDX and return. It's tough making a living being a freelance writer, harder still to do what I love- my passion. @warrenbobrow1 I'm giving the seminar on Cocktails. Thank you and Cheers. wb

Hi! I'm Jessica Tupper, and I write for ricochetbiscuit.com, Crave Local (Seattle), and Eatinseattle.com. I'm relatively new to the scene, but I'm enthusiastic and obsessed with weird ways to look at food.
I'm a grad student in forestry, so I am currently planning food-based experiments, from statistical analysis of puff pastry to soil horizon cakes. I love research and finding ways to make edible forms of the science facts I adore so much, and I want to bring that energy to IFBC.
But, again, I'm a grad student in forestry. I can afford the train over, and possibly crash with some colleagues down in Portland, but the $350 is a bit much for my salary.
You can contact me through ricochetbiscuit.com (jessica@ricochetbiscuit.com) and @Elanoa on twitter. Thank you so much!

Hi!
I would absolutely love to go to IFBC, and being sponsored would be a huge help! I started I Can Cook That (www.icancookthat.org) about a year and a half ago and have yet to attend a Food Blogger Conference. I began the blog as a way to challenge myself to learn how to cook, recipe by recipe. I am open to any and all sponsorships and look forward to hearing from you!

"Because coriander and cilantro are the same damn thing!"
I'm an American foodie (from all over the states) based in Stockholm, Sweden but often traveling.
My blog www.Americulinariska.com has an international focus more then anything… so why not “internationalculinariska”? Well firstly it’s way too long, and secondly I think it’s important to look inward just as much as you look outward to the world, otherwise you get too imperialistic and judgmental on what your looking at…. and food is too good for that nonsense!
I am also a champion of Diy gourmet (sauces, etc.) in the kitchen and innovating ways to use what I have on hand for superior results!

Hello! My name is Rebekah Hubbard and I am the writer behind the blog PDXfoodlove. On my blog, I write about making food and eating at home in a way that is local, seasonal and sustainable. I take a look at the science behind the process and try to explore ways to do things better. The idea behind my blog is that anyone can cook, and cook well, at home - no matter how much time or experience you have. I want to get people excited about the things they can create and share.
I am right here in Portland so all I am looking for from a sponsor is a ticket to the conference. Please contact me at any time if you'd like to learn more about me or what kind of partnership we can form. I love to represent brands with the same goals as mine - to make cooking at home with your family a source of joy, creative stimulation and fulfillment. Thank you!

Hello! My name is Heather and I run the blog Kitchen Concoctions: www.kitchen-concoctions.com. My blog features fast, fresh, affordable family friendly recipes, cooking tips, tricks, and how-to’s, party planning and entertaining tips, restaurant reviews, product reviews and giveaways. I have worked with various companies in different capacities and have had recipes and articles featured in the Tahoe Daily Tribune, The Tampa Tribune, The Austin American Statesman and in various other print and online media. I am looking for a wonderful sponsor to work with to help promote their company while being able to attend this highly popular conference. Thanks!

I am beyond excited for IFBC this year - and would love a sponsor to help me be able to attend! I'm a relatively new blogger, in my fifth month now, and have taken it as my personal task to dissect what successful blogging means, how it is achieved, and the best ways to get there. Bake Break, my blog, has been such a fun project - I can't wait to keep it growing! I'm constantly reading other blogs for tips and inspiration to make my own better, and would LOVE to be at IFBC for a number of reasons.
First, I would love to connect with other individuals in the food blogging community face to face. Second, I know I have a ton to learn - and IFBC will not only have wonderful speakers and events, but other (more experienced) bloggers to help answer my questions. Third, this is my passion: I want to do whatever I can to be involved and as successful as possible with it!
Portland is a beautiful city (my hometown!), and there couldn't be a better place to host IFBC. The food carts alone make it a winner!
Some of the specific things I'm hoping to learn include how to take better pictures, write a book proposal, and get involved in freelance food writing. I'm only 24, and I know I have a lot to learn, but I am loving every minute of blogging and really hope to make it my full time career one day (the sooner the better!).
I would love the opportunity to attend IFBC on behalf of a sponsor company. I am highly active on social networks and consider that to be one of my strong points. I cannot wait to attend to meet people, learn, and experience food blogging in a more personal way!
Thank you so much!
Mary

Greetings,
I am a food blogger from South Louisiana. I am also studying to be a health coach and looking to be the number one source for anything healthy in the south. I live where the food is rich and the health is poor and feel I have been called the change that. I missed the New Orleans conference last year but looking forward to a first time visit to Portland. My blog has a vegetarian focus which is something most southerners don't get into but is slowly changing. I would love to have a veg friendly sponsor who is looking at the possibility of exploring the Southern market.

Hello Sponsors!
My name is Jessica and I write foodallergiesrecipebox.com which provides allergy friendly recipes (dessert, chicken, turkey and more).
My recipes avoid the 8 most common food allergens plus a few more.
I personally do not have food allergies however I decided to create this website after discovering my nephew (as of today he is 2) is allergic to a huge list of foods, wheat, gluten, dairy, soy even sesame seeds, peas, garlic just to name a few.
It has been quite a challenge and a great experience to find ways to create delicious allergy safe meals that everyone will enjoy.

Hi,
I recently started a blog about improving school food: http://school-bites.com. I would absolutely love an opportunity to attend this conference. I am interested in learning more about how to create compelling content, develop a following, SEO, digital food photography, etc. I am passionate about fighting for healther food for our school kids and am working hard to promote this very good cause. Since my blog doesn't generate money and I'm a mom with three young kids, a sponsorship would be a huge help. Thanks for your consideration.

Hi, I'm Susan and I write Our Family Eats (www.ourfamilyeats). I post simple, healthy recipes to help busy families cook more meals at home. Because I have two young children and a very busy calendar most parents can relate to me, and I've carefully developed a loyal following over the last three years. I also encourage parents of picky eaters by giving them strategies that work.
Over the years I've been honored to be named Circle of Moms Top Foodie Mom, a blog of the month by Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, and have been selected as a member of Cooking Light magazine's Blogger Connection. My recipes are featured in a weekly series on I Heart Publix (www.iheartpublix.com), and Red Tricycle (www.redtri.com).
I've recently completed recipe development for Plum Organics new feature - the Little Foodies Cookbox, and have worked closely with Yummy Earth Organics to promote their line of all natural candy.
I am currently searching for sponsorship to the IFBC in Portland, where I would represent your brand in a professional and friendly manner. In return for full sponsorship, I'd be happy to develop a full promotional campaign through Our Family Eats' blog page, Facebook account, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram pages.
For more information please contact me at contact.ourfamilyeats [at] gmail [dot] com.
Looking forward to discussing the shared opportunities from a potential partnership.
Best,
Susan

My name is libby, but I am also known (in roller derby circles) as Mia Cupcake. Growing up with some great down home cooks and being engaged to a chef, I really really love food.
I have been blogging at Bruises in the Frosting (http://bruisesinthefrosting.com) for two years, and after some careful consideration, have finally made the decision to blog mostly about food. My fiancé (who is a successful livestreaming video gamer as well as a chef, http://twitch.tv/lethalfrag) is teaching me everything he learned in culinary school and in his professional kitchen world, and we plan on doing some YouTube videos.
IFBC would be a great jumping off point to help me learn the ropes and make some connections. Please email me at mia DOT cupcake AT yahoo if you would like to help sponsor me!
