Boke Bowl started as a monthly pop-up experience in Portland, Oregon in September of 2010. After just over one year, Boke opened a casual ramen shop in Portland's Central Eastside Industrial District. Boke Bowl serves ramen with handmade noodles, unique slow simmered dashis, and seasonally changing accoutrements aimed to satisfy carnivores, pescatarians, vegans, and children. Other dishes include seasonal steam buns, fresh salads, house-brined pickles, and miso butterscotch twinkies. Boke also hosts a weekly Korean Fried Chicken Night.
Of course we have an award winning vanilla, and a deeply luscious chocolate, but Portland is a thought-leading city when it comes to food and we take full advantage of both an abundant supply of fresh ingredients and a population willing to stretch the boundaries of traditional tastes. With flavors like Peanut Butter Curry, Toasted Almond with Candied Cherries and Roquefort Honey, we run the gamut from sweet to savory and can also design a flavor to custom fit a restaurant menu.
Our ice cream is all natural and hormone free; and our flavors are real, not chemicals dripped out of a squirt bottle. We focus on the best quality of ingredients, using local sources who use sustainable processes whenever possible.

We make and bake our sweet & savory pies by hand. We pay particular attention the freshness of our ingredients and the craft of transforming them. Award winning PIE is one result. We also serve warm out of the oven homemade pastries, rich espresso drinks, egg sandwiches & cocktails.
Departure is the rooftop restaurant atop the Nines Hotel featuring breathtaking views and Modern Asian cuisine. Departure creates modern, accessible Asian cuisine using traditional techniques learned in the kitchens of the Far East. Urban Farmer, located on the 8th floor of the Nines Hotel, is a modern steakhouse with a focus on sustainability. With emphasis on local, organic sourcing and simple straightforward presentations, Urban Farmer redefines the modern Portland steakhouse. The ambiance is at once a tribute to the quaintness of a restored farmhouse and the aesthetic audacity of mid-20th century modernism. The country chic décor designed by David Ashen uses organic, reclaimed and modern materials such as a twenty-foot communal table sourced from an old-growth Douglas Fir.
Their menus reflect an emphasis on Northwest, sustainable ingredients and simple, straightforward preparations. They offer a range of beef options including grass-fed Oregon beef, pasture-raised, grain-finished beef, as well as corn-fed beef. Their beverage program extends the theme of local and sustainable with a 350-bottle wine list, beer selections from the Portland city limits and cocktails made with Oregon spirits. Focusing on sustainable practices, Urban Farmer creates a connection between the diner and our local farmers, ranchers, distillers and winemakers.
The Original, Portland's downtown destination for all-day dining, serves up playful variations on the classic standards. Our inspired menu of eclectic American cuisine takes on regional favorites and modifies them with local and seasonal ingredients resulting in flavors and textures unique to the Pacific Northwest.
