After just over one year, Boke opened a casual ramen shop in Portland's Central Eastside Industrial District. Boke Bowl serves ramen with handmade noodles, unique slow simmered dashis, and seasonally changing accoutrements aimed to satisfy carnivores, pescatarians, vegans, and children. Other dishes include seasonal steam buns, fresh salads, house-brined pickles, and miso butterscotch twinkies. Boke also hosts a weekly Korean Fried Chicken Night.

what's the scoopWhat's the Scoop?

Of course we have an award winning vanilla, and a deeply luscious chocolate, but Portland is a thought-leading city when it comes to food and we take full advantage of both an abundant supply of fresh ingredients and a population willing to stretch the boundaries of traditional tastes. With flavors like Peanut Butter Curry, Toasted Almond with Candied Cherries and Roquefort Honey, we run the gamut from sweet to savory and can also design a flavor to custom fit a restaurant menu.

Our ice cream is all natural and hormone free; and our flavors are real, not chemicals dripped out of a squirt bottle. We focus on the best quality of ingredients, using local sources who use sustainable processes whenever possible.

urban farmerUrban Farmer, located on the 8th floor of the Nines Hotel, is a modern steakhouse with a focus on sustainability. With emphasis on local, organic sourcing and simple straightforward presentations, Urban Farmer redefines the modern Portland steakhouse. The ambiance is at once a tribute to the quaintness of a restored farmhouse and the aesthetic audacity of mid-20th century modernism. The country chic décor designed by David Ashen uses organic, reclaimed and modern materials such as a twenty-foot communal table sourced from an old-growth Douglas Fir.

Their menus reflect an emphasis on Northwest, sustainable ingredients and simple, straightforward preparations. They offer a range of beef options including grass-fed Oregon beef, pasture-raised, grain-finished beef, as well as corn-fed beef. Their beverage program extends the theme of local and sustainable with a 350-bottle wine list, beer selections from the Portland city limits and cocktails made with Oregon spirits. Focusing on sustainable practices, Urban Farmer creates a connection between the diner and our local farmers, ranchers, distillers and winemakers.

Veggie GrillThe Veggie Grill provides comfort food that is wholesome, delicious, convenient, and affordable. Co-Founders T.K. Pillan and Kevin Boylan, along with Operating Partner Ray White, began transforming the way Southern Californians enjoy classic American favorites in 2006 when they opened the first location of The Veggie Grill at University Center in Irvine. Five years later, The Veggie Grill is successfully operating ten outposts including two in Portland, OR, two in Irvine, one in El Segundo, one in Santa Monica, one in Hollywood, one in Long Beach and another at the Original Farmer’s Market on Fairfax. The popular independent, premium fast-casual restaurant  is known for making amazingly flavorful and wholesome food with 100% plant based ingredients, including complete, high-protein, hearty “veggie-meats” that break the stereotype of bland, mushy vegetarian food.

USA PearsUSA Pears

Today, the United States is the second largest pear producing country in the world, and more than 55 countries look to the U.S. for sweet and juicy fresh pears. The orchards of Oregon and Washington in particular allow heirloom varieties of pears to flourish to perfection in their pastoral terrain, with 84% of the country's fresh pears being grown in these two Pacific Northwest states.

Ten principal varieties of pears are grown in Oregon and Washington, each with its own color, flavor and texture. These pears are each picked by hand, and they are renowned as being some of the world’s finest. Across the U.S. and around the world, these delectable pears from Oregon and Washington are sold under the USA Pears brand and are highly regarded as a premium quality fruit.

Oregon and Washington’s 1,600 pear growers carefully harvest each delicate pear by hand, and are clearly committed to providing the world with their premium quality pears. As stewards of the land, they tend their naturally prime landscape, where moisture from meandering rivers and glacial snowmelt feeds the region's nutrient-rich volcanic soil to make the perfect foundation for pear tree nourishment. With this ideal growing environment, it's no wonder their sublime USA Pears are prized across the U.S. and around the world.

cabot cheese Cabot Cheese

Cabot Creamery is a 1,200 farm family dairy cooperative with members in New England and upstate New York. We value our roots as a cooperative — and as a way of doing business.

Being a co-op, we are owned and operated by our members, which for Cabot are our farmers and their families.

As a cooperative, we honor the Rochdale Cooperative Principles in every aspect of our operations. We value community, quality, democracy and local ownership. Our owners serve on school boards and select boards. They are volunteer firefighters, planning commission members and environmental clean-up participants.

Through our principles and actions we support the communities where we live as well as where we do business. This is what makes us different among other food companies.

Cabot doesn't work alone — we have business partners throughout the country with whom we share these principles and values. We believe that the work we do together makes an important difference in the lives of our families, friends and neighbors.
