I always baked and cooked and was in the food industry for years but didn't really get into the science and art until i met my ex-husband - he is an amazing chef. I learned from him and in time, things got competitive in the kitchen. In fact, he refused to speak to me for 3 days because I wouldn't share my Cioppino recipe with him - "You're a chef with a good palate, you figure it out!".
I'm not one to measure, (except with baking of course), I just add ingredients, smell and taste until it's to my liking.
I still don't like sharing certain recipes and when I go, so will they.
