can (6 oz.) cans tomato paste |
edit Preparation
Step 1 |
Heat olive oil in saucepan. Add garlic, onion, and ground beef and brown lightly. Add tomatoes, salt, bay leaves and tomato paste. Simmer, covered, 2 1/2 to 3 hours, until thickened and reduced. Remove bay leaves and use or freeze* for future use. |
Step 2 |
*Freeze in family-portioned containers. Simply pop frozen portion in the microwave or in a pan and heat. |
Step 3 |
I like to add mushrooms and green peppers just before heating. |
Step 4 |
May be used with spaghetti (prepared according to directions) |
Step 5 |
Or to top prepared chicken breasts, veal, sausage, etc. |
