Vietnamese Meatballs

Ingredients

1 pound ground pork
1 small onion, finely minced
2 scallions, finely sliced
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
2 teaspoons flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 teaspoon oil

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine pork, onion, scallions, oyster sauce, flour, sugar, salt and red pepper. Blend mixture until well combined.

Form mixture into 12 meatballs and place in one layer in a small oiled steamer.

Steam for 30 minutes

Transfer meatballs to a warm serving dish and top with Pineapple Tomato Sauce

Serve as an entrée with rice or on French bread or as an appetizer. Serve with red vinegar and hot chile sauce as condiments.
